May 2017 - Gold Peony Yancha - Wulong from Xingcunzhen (星村镇), Wuyishan, Fujian
This tea was harvest from Xingcunzhen which is located about 1km southwest of the Wuyishan Scenic Reserve. Jinmudan or Golden Peony is a new hybrid cultivar created by the Fujian Academy of Agricultural Sciences by breeding Iron Goddess (铁观音) as the mother plant and Huangyan (黄棪) as the father plant.
Bold, roasted floral aroma on the empty cup and lid. Thick, silky mouth feel.
Notes of Balsamic, Orchid, Stone Fruit.
